Thread: Where is everybody?

I just quit after less than thirty minutes playing for the third or fourth day in a row. Have we forgotten how to prime a server?

Don't dominate everyone. Don't cap last point. Don't combo. In general don't be a dick. If you see a team getting stomped switch to melee or taunts so everyone has fun. If everyone has fun they stick around long enough for more people to join. Once the server is half full you can start playing for real.

You cant beleive how often these days people break this rule

If everyone I'm priming with are regs I'll generally do whatever I feel like. If I feel like doing my best to kill the opposing team during priming I will. If it bothers you then just ask over all talk or all chat to do melee only, or huntsman only or spy wars. Of course everyone should know not to cap last during priming, and to allow blu to cap points as time nears it's end.

'Course if one team is stuck in spawn being dominated I'll switch, 'cause that just isn't fun for anyone.

I've announced a couple times for everyone to go flare pyro, or eveyrone go medic or something. If all the classes are the same it's fun. Try that. Especially non combat classes like medic, always a good choice and a chance to practice up on your medic combat skills. I'm telling you the servers are weak lately. I see 2 servers but not even half filled. Yesterday or a few days ago after trying to prime with just about 5 or 6 for 30 minutes we all just went to the other server which had about the same amount of people. I agree with wookie if a team is getting rolled and your trying to prime it defeats the purpose especially if more regs our on the rolling team.

Hopefully we'll get Birthday mode option soon and priming could be more fun and kind of unique at tpg for those who choose to come; we'll see how that works out.

Yeah today i got on to prime again and I still saw people dominating pubbers and capping the last :P
But its usually pubbers who cap last and most dont listen so you cant really stop it.

All this talk about priming, and the servers are empty 7:20 on a Sunday? Stop talking about priming and prime!!!!

If I joined a server that was doing shit like this, I'd leave right away and probably blacklist it as a "Gimmick Server".
A couple of weeks ago, I joined one of the servers after a typical PRIME NOW!1!!!11!! announcement, a few days after the engineer update. Joined up, it was 6v6, but alltalk was on and people were farming Engineer achievements, I asked when we were actually going to play someone said "We're going to play a real game soon." I didn't ask for another few minutes, and left when there was no real action going on with enough people to support a real game.
tl;dr Stupid shit won't keep people in, neither will absolute domination, use your head.

If it's 6v6 it should go live. If I'm priming and we get 6v6 I will always tell everyone to begin the game in earnest.

If the prime is good then it should only take a round for it too get 6v6, and then after that you turn off all talk so oyu dont scare away "pro pubbers" and go play serious, but still untilll it gets big try not to dominate the whole team with heavies medic combos, save the cheap stuff for the 12v12
