Re: What was your best trade?
One-upped. A third time.
Earbuds for 8 weapons (4 scrap).
And expendable, it's not luck. For every great deal I get, there are 100 I don't get. The trick is putting yourself into 100+ deals, and knowing which ones to say yes to. On average I can get an earbuds for cheap once an hour... but this weekend I went many many hours with no deals (that is where the luck comes in), until I found the guy who very specifically wanted 8 weapons only, he did not care about the earbuds, even when I told him they were worth 3 hats. I also told him 1 hat was worth 54 weapons, and he STILL asked "are you sure" before trading me the earbuds for 8 weapons. LOL.

Re: What was your best trade?
Someone offered me cash, though I think jokingly.
No way would I do it. Trading sucks, I hate it as much as any of you do. That's why I get a kick when someone thinks I'll go get them something because I'm "good at it." I tell them exactly what I would do to obtain it, and they say "oh, that sounds like too much work, I don't want to do that." I respond, "but you'd ask me to do it for you?" xD
I am really working up to QUITTING trading. Honestly. I think I just need to get me a sunbeam ushanka first. :-)
Interestingly enough, by my calculations, a refined metal is worth roughly $3 real money. This is actually consistent with what cash deals go for on SourceOP forums. If I was doing this for money, I figure I make on average $10-15 per hour. Not nearly enough to live off, but better than most jobs college kids have. I've had SoureOP cash dealers tell me they're up $500+ profit in a week of trading.Last edited by Veovis; 11-22-10 at 04:42 PM.

Re: What was your best trade?
But if you just go out and buy it, its boring and you dont get the fun part of the whole "hat" thing anyways.
Like if Veo just bought all the hats for his collection, he wouldnt be proud of it and no one would care about how awesome it is, cuz he just bought it and didnt actually work for it.
