Go for the hats, both are REALLY epic!

Ive given up, every time i melee him someone kills me, or he kills me, or I just dont get it...so im just selling my bag hats for metal and getting something out of this weekend

I finally got the metal of all things using a fish with a Scout. I find it best to melee him in the back as a Scout just after he does the shout/stun thing since he stays in place for a little while when he does that.

Also, the bags are just used to get the other bag mask. You need the metal to create one of the hats or the axe.

I'm not sure if you can get the metal multiple times or not though. I know you can only get one at a time though.

Some people are saying you just melee him whenever, but you definitely have to do it just before he dies. When I got the Gored achievement I meleed him, he killed me, then he died. Maybe it was a glitch, but I definitely died first. Try to wait until he scares people twice, then go in for the kill.

I think you can only craft 2 of them. There are 2 more that are in the store. I'm not sure if they are considered hats though, as 1 is Heavy Frankenstein's Head and the other is a meat cleaver in the head.

I found a TF2 wiki yesterday showing what the crafting was for the other 2 hats and stated it was random when crafting the skull or the voodoo hat, but I can't find the link for it now.

Yeah took me a few times near-last hitting him with melee to get it, but it finally gave it to me. now I just need to get me some refined metal.

Even if I do finally get a melee on him while hes dieing..i wont get the metal in time anyways. Unless I give up a hat or two XD
I have 2 ellis' hats if someone wants to give me the metal i need
