Now that I have your attention. Would anyone be interested in writing a review of TF2 looking back at how it's changed over the years from the cartoony FPS to the RPG it is today?
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Re: I'm giving away my hats
I was fine with the updates until the Soldier/Demo update, which was for me when the game really fell apart. The update generally ruined melee by making two of the worst melee classes two of the best, with the Equalizer being the first new item to have effectively no downside whatsoever. Then the game's updates sort of accelerated after the slightly better Engie update, and now loads of things are being added without much balance in check. Sadly, TF2 simply doesn't function as a teamwork-based game for me anymore. But it was a hell of a good time before all this got involved.

Only a balanced game can have this much bitching and moaning about unbalanced teams. Considering that "Look the teams are unbalanced etc etc" is a regular topic on these forums, I would say the new weapons are more balanced than you are willing to admit. They may be more cheap and ridiculous in comparison to the vanilla weapons, but they do not unbalance the game.

Vanilla TF2 has the be one of the most balanced games in the history of gaming. Everything else is fairly decent, but not at the same level.
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

Awww DJ you liar!
I knew there was a catch.
If I do this, can I have your hats? (That doesn't mean I'll do it)
What pisses me off is the Southern Hospitality and the stupid Shiv.
Those two melee weapons are like a Pyro lighting you on fire except it's melee and there are no flames on your screen.

Re: I'm giving away my hats
I dont really rage about anything in this game. Sure it sucks when you get killed by things, but there is always some way to counter that or not fall for it again. The most annoying classes and weapons get called out if they hinder your team and then your team works against it, making that said item not really work anymore. So really all these new ttypes of weapons just force teams to have to work together instead of lone wolfing it a lot more like you used to be able to do.

I don't have nearly the hours in TF2 as so many of you do, but I will say two things:
1. I think TF2 has been, and is, the most balanced game released so far. Each class truly has advantages over certain classes, but disadvantages against other classes. There are so many ways to arrange a team to counter what the opposition is doing.
2. Some of the updates are totally corny, but I give Valve credit for continually adding new and exciting things to the game, and for constantly tweaking the new items to try to maintain the class balance.
In all I think if TF2 had "realistic" player models it would be by far the most popular game out right now. I think that is the only turn off for many people, which is a shame.
