    I Think a vanilla server would be the end of me at TPG. Not only would it be boring, but would anyone prime another server? As it is no body wants to bother priming main because "crits are so ghey". If you do try a few regs show up, but leave as soon as they realize they are on the lame crit server.

    A no crit vanilla server? No thanks, I would rather play random pubs.

    A vanilla mode would be fun at time, but honestly, no-crit is fine with me.
    If it was vanilla, it would have to be vanilla + kritzkrieg.

    No, I would never play on or prime the Vanilla Server for any extended amount of time.

    Vanilla to me means purely no unlocks, not even the Kritzkrieg, which is technically an unlock. Sounds boring. The game has evolved, for better or for worse.

    Let the competitive scene determine what they will and will not allow—that's their choice and more power to them. TPG servers are pubs and follow Valve's releases. We've already debated the no-crits issue to death and now have a server dedicated to that playstyle, which apparently the majority of regs prefer since Main is hardly ever populated these days. My 2¢.

    Besides, we get enough of Valve's version of "vanilla" every time Steam is down. Sneaky bastards.

    The thing about all the unlocks is that many of them solved issues with balance, but the problem was that many more just made it even more unbalanced. Full vanilla would just be boring as watching paint dry, so if I could make a suggestion, it would be that the following unlocks be made available on this new server:

    Bonk
    Equalizer
    Axtinguisher
    Ubersaw
    Kritzkrieg

    These 5 items seem to be the most necessary, but if the Flare Gun and maybe Gunboats were included it would be great too. I do have my doubts about the Equalizer, due to players deliberately damaging themselves to escape faster, but something could be done.

    Naw the new weapons are too fun particularly the ullapool caber and the fists of steel. Play comp tf2 for restricted weapons.

    Plus, my memory of TF2 vanilla (way back in the day) was that Heavy was a dominant class. I mean I'm not objecting to that, but people bitch about the heavy being OP now, but back then it was absolutely standard to have 3-5 on a team...

    We already take enough liberties with the developers vision of the game by eliminating crits from one of our servers...vanilla would be too much...

    many 'vanilla' weapons were tweaked to balance with new unlocks so it might not work as well.
