Server Lag

The server has been having lag spikes every few minutes or so. It's starting to be a hassle. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Can you be more specific? What do you see going on with your netgraph 3? Are other people experiencing it?

If wats had to give you script to get it to not lag, then it's not going to be good for new players. Yes, other ppl are experiencing it. I'll switch to netgraph 3 and let you know if I notice anything, but it's difficult to pay attention to it while playing.

Have you not played recently? It's pretty bad.

Well steam friends/community seems to be down, it could be the culprit, server trying to connect to Valve's down servers.

(It was unusually bad tonight, so I'm guessing that's why)

It's all about rates and optimization.

Try this

cl_updaterate "66"
cl_cmdrate "65"
cl_interp "0.01"
rate "30000"

Try putting these in your cfg files for each class and see if there's a change.

And if needed, you can lower the update rate to 33 or 30.

It was the whole server, not individual people/connections.
