yeah was playing just a few minutes ago and was playing on avalanche and then the map changed and avalanche loaded up again right after the map changed.

There's defenitely something funky, because we get the same problem on TF2, though usually only on the first map. (Dustbowl)

A lot of what this has to do with is the prediction model. The server doesn't actually tell us what the next map is, we have to guess based on what's in the maplist and some other server behavior. Because of voting forcing a server to go to a map out of order, this further complicates it. It's something I'd like to improve, but it seems like there are corner cases that I haven't accounted for or are not aware of when the server knows it's going one place, but lonestar predicts its going another.
If you can find trends or provide more details, that would help a lot. The details i'm looking for are things like what were the last two maps, what was the result of the next map vote, where did lonestar predict it was going to go, and where did it really go?

I can tell you right now that this most often happens on TF2 after priming on the first map of the day, which is generally DB.

Tonight, I typed nextmap and it said "unknown".

I don't think so..I. think it was Anzio, not sure...but I know it was a stock map.
