Thread: Unban request

I believe i got banned for being a "jerk" to the admin after I made a comment to another player how he told me to "plant the bomb" as I was doing so. But I was just trying to figure out why they slayed me twice, kicked me once (after I hadn't said a thing in while) then banned once I asked why I was kicked.

While I appreciate the fact that you have kept a level head, you need to drop the victim act and listen to the witnesses and admins that were there. If you truly think they are lying, then we have a bigger issue than your temp ban. Nobody is out to get you, nor would they even have motive to do so. Drop that mentality and Im sure this will go smoothly.

I have been trying to make this go smoothly but if you actually read the thread it seemed (to me, IMHO) every time BISHOP posted it went sour, he took what I said and multiplied it 10x by what I felt actually happened, it would be different if I had any inclination if I thought it was that bad, I know I probably was being direspectful but I stopped and started playing the game again, and to me it seemed he kept egging me on by slaying me the 2nd time. It started in the server... He slayed me for making what I felt to be a "sarcastic, immature" comment to another player. He then slayed me the next round asking me over admin chat "If I thought that was funny?" Of which many people laughed. Then a few rounds later slayed me again as I felt I was following the strat, I asked why he kicked me and he said "follow the strat" which to me seemed like he was just looking for a reason to sly/kick/ban me. I wasn't the only player in that area at the time. He the kicks me for "being afk" when I was only afk for maybe 5-10 seconds at the beginning of a round. 10 seconds max, but I was still leaving the spawn with other teammates, who were not kicked. When I returned and asked why I was kicked, and multiple times I asked who he was (which I know they are supposed to stay anonymous) so I could put his name in the admin abuse post I was creating, and then I was instantly banned.

I was honestly trying to be a man about it and post "my side" of the story when he comes in and goes over the top about what I did and I didn't feel that was appropriate or truthful, plus based on what I write in my post HE increases the ban to a lifetime ban, not another admin, HIM, based on his opinions. I personally don't feel that in right, one person seeing me actions can ban me for a week, which I am okay with. Then he comes in reads my post "about him" and instantly increases the ban to a lifetime, what is up with that?

In his post, he was putting thoughts into my mind saying I was deliberately going afk to piss people off which I know for a fact I wasn't. He said I deliberately didn't follow the call, which I didn't do it deliberatly. I was with the team, planting the bomb... I am sorry if he doesn't see it this way and I am sorry it got into a pissing battle about "he said she" said. I hope you take my unban request seriously because I obviously have played on your server before without a problem, and this time I come into it and stuff like this happens because 1 admin saw me as being disrespectful, with a single witness. Of course no-one from the server is going to come into a post and say no he didn't deserve it...

I will patiently wait for the results from my unban request and I hope you take it in consideration that I wasn't the one that escalated this into a 25 post pissing contest, but if I see him come in here and start ranting about what "he thinks I thought" again you know I will make another post. I don't need him coming in here doing that making me look worse then I actually am. Of course I am going to defend myself.

mechanic, i didn't ban you, i'm posting here because i was the admin that originally slayed you. i was also the admin that asked if you thought mocking our efforts to pursue the objective was funny.

as you say you've been a member for a year or so, you must also know tpg is possibly the internets only "true" teamplay server, a haven for those that want competitve, objective based play in a no nonsense environment. we take this seriously, just as we take our responsibilities in enforcing teamplay seriously. thus admin abuse claims are serious like player bans are, and can have consequences.

so to set the record straight from my pov. i slayed you for repeadetly mocking the players requesting that you plant the bomb. i asked you if you thought it was funny. you claimed admin abuse. i told you to post on the forums and that we took this seriously. i went afk myself and left the server.

i came back to the server as a CT, and killed you in B running over to A, where the rest of your team had rushed in an attempt to plant the bomb. you obviously didn't follow the call and bishop knew it. maybe you were afk in the rounds beginning posting in the abuse forum? strike 2.

then you went afk, apparently to post in the abuse forums. nothing is wrong with posting in the abuse forums, except doing it during the game where you hamper your team by your abscenses. admins are normally understanding of an afk for a round, which is usually just a slay if the server is waiting on you, but more than that usually earns a kick. when you are afk for the whole round, or just for the first 10 seconds several rounds in a row matters, it's like the team is playing a man down because of you. you were kicked, came back and went afk again.

you then asked why you were kicked and asked who the admin was. you were so busy pursuing your agenda in the forums as an afk, and trying to get the admin to respond to you in game, that you forgot everyone else was there to play the game, on a server specifically created to keep players that do all the things you just did, out of the server. strike 3. you were originally banned for a week, which is now a permanent ban.

a high admin will no doubt address your admin abuse claim and try to determine if admins abused their powers. regardless of their decision, i suggest you decide if you really want to play here before wasting any more time. if that takes longer than a few seconds, you should probably move on. if you decide to stay, read our motd and server rules. we take those seriously too. good luck.

What you need to realize is that this isnt BISHOP v. mechanic for your unban. He doesnt decide your fate. A large group of admins do. The thing you have going against you though is that there are multiple people in the admin abuse thread that are witness to what transpired.

Regardless of why you went AFK, you were still AFK multiple times and thats a disruption to the team.
Regardless of what you think is a bad call, its still the call and you need to follow it.
Regardless of this notion that BISHOP has it out for you, there were multiple admins involved with the events that transpired.

As I said before, you need to stop playing victim, swallow your pride, and admit fault. You were in the wrong and need to realize that before this can go any further.

Just throwing my two cents into the mix.

And I got a 2 day site ban for posting in the banned thread of another player in violation of the rules.

Mechanic, I apologize for assuming that you deliberately went AFK just to annoy your team. I didn't know that you were in the process of making a complaint in the abuse forum. After your 3rd AFK incident, you were kicked...you then rejoined T side again and went AFK, which can make a person assume that you were doing it purposely...maybe it was the 1st 10 seconds of the round, as u said it was, but it seemed longer than that. Your team has already taken the site, planted the bomb, and died in the process of taking the site and protecting it, while you were still at spawn AFK multiple times.

You caused yourself too much attention to be punished multiple times. You felt you were following the strat, but you weren't. Other players were complaining about you not following the calls ...and you didn't follow the call TWICE...you were lucky you didn't get slayed nor banned the 2nd time, instead, I allowed you to play more hoping you'll get with the program, but you went AFK the next few rounds which finally gave me the reason to ban you. Other admins would've permanently banned you after the 2nd time you didn't follow the call. However, I felt that you were still new to the servers and gave you a little bit of a slack, which you repudiated by acting immaturely.

Anything you would like to add before i present your case to the admin community?
