#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I was banned for team flashing MadMax on piranesi.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
I was playing on the TPG No AWP/No Auto server. I believe MadMax banned me. I am unsure about any other admins who were playing.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
I've been a regular on this server for as long as I can remember and I have had a reserved slot since 2007, back when this was TTP. I was also a mid level admin for a good chunk of time. I am not writing these things to get special treatment, I am only writing them to show that I have a good base of knowledge about how this server operates and treats its players.

I have never been banned in all my time here.

I was playing on the TPG No AWP/No Auto server earlier today. We were T, dominating the map, and about to win (14-4 at the time). We decided to do a joke call at the beginning of the round and all go through sneaky, go through the CT spawn, and eventually plant at B. We were almost there, when the bomber was killed so I ran back to collect the bomb and meet up with my team at B. Once I got there, I planted and noticed that it was just me and MadMax watching the bomb. We had been dominating the entire match and at this point almost definitely going to win, so the mood was not exactly stressful. Since this round was not absolutely critical and it looked like we were sure to win, I thought it would be funny to throw a flash at MadMax and then hide. Probably not the most adult thing I have ever done, but not really an egregious error. MadMax was not pleased. Over the mic he said something to the effect of Why did you just Team flash me? I typed, "eh" and then "i was bored". Again, probably not the most adult response, but due to this situation I honestly did not think he was seriously upset at me. On the mic he said something like You were bored? Then, boom, I was banned.
I have not played on this server that often recently because I am extremely busy so I have to assume that he thought I was a random player coming to troll. But even if that was the case, I would at least expect a warning or an admin speak statement. My biggest issue is that there was no warning, no advisement that team flashing is against the rules, no real chance for me to even apologize. Just a knee jerk ban on a player that has been a regular here for 5 years.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
I will refrain from teamflashing on purpose in the server.

I think we covered everything about the event in the admin abuse forums, so I just have two questions before I put up your vote.

Do you understand that your offense was ban worthy?
Do you understand that our team play rules will be enforced at all times on the server?

Please answer and add anything else you would like to say.

so that's that. You deliberately flashed one of your teammates, got banned....and now we're the ones that are wrong?

Does a police officer have to shout at you to slow down before giving you a ticket?

Do we have to ask you nicely not to shoot your teammates deliberately?

Do we have to post some rule about how it's wrong to blow up your teammates vehicles?

I mean honestly, take some responsibility and understand if we did things the way you wanted, there would be teamflashes, friendly fire, and ridiculousness every round. There's no need for admins to have to chicken shit around, begging players to be good. Most especially when what you did was so blatantly non-teamplayer and harmful to your teammates. Who cares if you thought it was funny, or even if max thought it was funny. We don't know you, we don't think it's funny, and EVEN IF WE DID, it's bad for business in terms of keeping the game moving, focused, and teamplayer.

Admit your transgressions and be forgiven. Blame us for banning you for deliberately team flashing....and stay banned.
