I don't think this much of a surprise but Kerry won't be running for president in 2008.

Smart from him. He wouldn't win anyway... I still can't understand how the hell could he lose against Bush in 2004(or whenever)

I prefer Edwards over Kerry any day of the week. I will, however, be voting Obama.

I would too. If I could vote. I volunteered as a member of his campaign recently.

Good for him. Recognizing you have the personality of a dead goat is an important life lesson. Now, go vote Libertarian.

Libertarians have hard-line stances on policies that I cannot agree with, yet support many policies that I completely agree with. But because of some of their absurd stances, I cannot vote for them.

Kerry has too many inconsistancies in his past(throwing the medals over the White House fence, etc.) and the whole 'if you don't get an education, you end up in Iraq'(blown joke or not) debacle...
He's just not popular enough. And he makes Al Gore look energetic.
He'll remain a Senator and he'll do well as a Senator. And afterwards, he'll write a book and go and give guest lectures and so on. And he'll never have to deal with the sheer hell it must be to be President.
I know I wouldn't take the job if they offered it to me along with fifty million dollars up front and a full time hooker guarenteed to be clean. No way in hell do I want to be responsible for that much.
