Thread: banned for no good reason

I was a member in the |-PX-| clan when all that stuff went down between some guys in PX and the texasteamplayers admins. I really don't know the whole story but I was banned from this server because I was in PX at the time. I left that clan shortly after all this went down and went on to play other games. I have recently picked dod back up and did always enjoy playing on texasteamplayers. I never had any problems with anyone in the server. I also live close to Dallas so get really good ping here too. So i have come to request that you unban me please since I had nothing to do with the guys that got us banned in the first place. Thanks for your time and I hope to play here again someday. Hello Left 4 Dead Forums community! Uhm, I was just checking this place out and it seems like it's a nice place for me to start. You see, I just got my Xbox a few days ago and have never used one before in my life. Don't get me wrong, I love games, but I stuck with Playstation and Nintendo my whole life. I always wanted to try out Xbox, so I did...Another tiny little thing, I hardly ever played FPS games...and I'm terrified of zombies. I bought this game so my sister could play it with me when she gets back from her trip. Well, I got tired of my little Viva Pinata game and wanted to try this out. I just couldn't stop playing it! This game completely altered my brain from "AGH ZOMBIE, KILL IT!" to "OOH, ZOMBIE! KILL IT!" By the way, in case you were wondering, I am 14, and while I was looking around earlier, I got the message that some people dislike us young type playing these games. But hey....I'll be 15 in a few weeks...but really, I understand where you are coming from. I just can't stand most people my age. Its always "PWNED!!!1!" this, and "N00B!!!! DIEEE!!1" that. Well, unlike those people, I have a mature mind. Sure, I like playing some little kid games every once in a while...but I have been raised well enough to understand that there are people out there who have feelings...and a functioning brain.

Now I have a little bit to ask from you. You see, when I started playing Left 4 Dead, I always did single-player offline mode until one day, I went online. I went into an easy lobby since I was still not completely confident with how I would do with real people on normal. So here I am, waiting in a lobby with three other people, ready to play. I wait about five minutes for the leader to start. I assumed he was away at the moment, but I was patient enough to wait. Then he plugs in his mic, so I sit back up and get ready to start. A minute passes and I wait as people leave and join the lobby. I decided to stay since I wasn't sure if there would be many good easy lobbies out there, and I knew the guy was near the TV since he had plugged in his mic. So, I decided to speak and said, "Hello, are you there?" Just suddenly, he yells something like, "Shut up noob, go play with your friends that don't exist." And I was kicked. Of course I had no friends since I had just gotten my Xbox the day before, but I'm just such a sensitive person when it comes to strangers beating up my already crippled ego. So now I ask of you nice people, please show me the ways of this game. I don't have the guts to go back on Live, even though I know that not all people on there are like that, but I don't deserve their crap. I'm tired of playing offline with my parents who don't even know how to jump and constantly forget which button is used to shoot. My friends in real life aren't really....well...gamers and are either on vacation or "busy". And my sister won't be back from her trip for a long time. To top it all off, I'm left home alone from 9am to around 7pm with nothing much to do other than sleep, eat, read, play games, and watch TV (nothing good on TV these days). Anyway, I need to learn how to play on Live eventually, but it's impossible for me when people act like jerks and go on their own only to die and blame me for being too slow to save them. I also really want to try versus mode, but practicing as a zombie using split screen with myself isn't really helping. Plus, I've heard that a ton of versus mode players are...well, not too great.

I joined this forum hoping to see if anyone with enough patience and maturity would help me out a bit. Basically, I need a tutor/teacher/master/lord to just change me from that person who keeps getting attacked and we have to heal so the team doesn't fail, to that person who doesn't suck.

Ah, and just for the sake of the forum, I found this site on Google. Praise Google.

The best way to get good at Versus is to go in and be terrible. xD If you ever play a match with me or someone else on here, don't be afraid to ask for tips. Collectively this community knows the best spots and strategies, I'm sure. But I'd advise you to play Campaign a bit before going into Versus, to get used to stopping Hunters, saving teammates, etc.
