Thread: Banned. Requesting Unban.

I'll try not to go on for too long...

#1 I think I got banned for one of two reasons, but I can't be sure (ref: #2).

possibility 1: disrespecting an admin - i got into a heated argument with makeout ( i think it was him...) on the general subject of objectives/weapon loadout/approach to CoD4 in general etc...

i suspect 1 was the issue, but if not...

possibility 2: not attempting to accomplish the objectives - i find this less likely, but still possible, in said heated (pretty heated, I wont give details, but they are available upon request...) argument, i said something along the lines of 'I hate HQ mode, esp on this map, I go for the point because i have to, but honestly, I'm more interested in the frags' - again, I DO go for the points (and i was... i was just failing miserably), just, on HQ, on that map, I don't like it. Like i said, i doubt I was banned for this.

#2 CoD4 server. My name in CoD4 is FatherPriest and I am not sure what is needed to lift a ban for CoD4 - the post didnt say. If someone can indicate what is, I can provide it. I suspect that the admin who banned me is C2C makeout - I'm not sure if he is an admin, but, he and I argued, he went into spec for a while, then I got banned, so... seems to fit.

#3 I should be unbanned because I have not violated any rule that I can find, and I have a decent history of being a team player on the CoD4 server and on the bf2142 server. In my experience, being a dick wont get you banned from TTP, but being a dick and breaking the rules will, in short order.

#4 I'll assume the issue is possibility 1 for this ... In the future, I will keep my arrogant and elitist opinions to myself, unless asked for them, and continue to be the efficient, annoying, sniping teamplayer that I have always been.

You deserve an explanation as to why you were banned.
The feeling and philosophy that you expressed over mic in game in the CoD4 server does not agree with TTP's. I asked you more than once if you were saying that you did not care to play with me as a team and cap the HQ. Instead you decided to not give me the time of day and tell me to screw off (and the stuff you said was actually worse than that but no need to repeat that here). Your attitude was not appreciated and will not be tolerated in the CoD4 server. If you wish to keep playing on the TTP CoD4 Server you need to adjust what/and how you say things.

I don't care if you feel CoD4, and i quote "is a game for 12 year olds who use sprinting p90 sprays to win the game," you are to play the game as a teamplayer with the ultimate objective of winning as a team. If a player is trying to communicate with you to help cap a HQ or grab a flag, try to work with him/her instead of telling them to F-off. You might be talking to one of the 12 year olds, or like in this case, you might just be talking to an admin who is trying to get you to help the team.

I think that is enough. There is no need to go into anymore. The simple solution to this is learn TTP's ways. Understand TTP is about the team first and not the single player. Understand that KD ratio doesn't mean much when the team is getting pulverized. Understand that when you play at TTP, you are expected to play by TTP's rules and not your own.

Hi i bought l4d2 yesterday with a couple of friends and i installed it with no problems, when i start it i get this wierd graphic glitch. In some angles almost the whole screen turns yellow and ive searched everywhere for a solution and cant find anything. hanvt found anyone with the same problem, some with compareble problems but not the same.
Ive tested almost everything i can think of could fix it but nah..
ive got a better computer than all of the friends i bought it with and it works fine for them. Ive tried reinstalling the drivers for my graphic card and it doesnt work.

problem solved, i dont really know what i did to fix it but now it works correctly.. I think the solution was that i did "Defragment cache files"

"steam games> left 4 dead 2> properties> local files> Defragment Cache files"
