You're right. I was the banning admin, and I slayed you for not following the call, then banned you for mocking the admin.

losttemple_pro is a map where "watching the flank" is just an excuse for lonewolfing. By the time the CT side flanks, we should already be in the site called contesting control over it. And that venture requires that EVERYONE should be rushing their asses off nading, smoking, flashing, shooting...doing whatever it takes to get that bomb down.

When I called straight A, I didn't hear anyone say "Hey, is it alright if I watch the flank?", cause if you did, then I would've said hell no, bring your gun, cause we're all hitting the site.

As for the slaying, almost all of us died in A. I started speccing players when I died to see if there were any wandering Ts, and lo and behold, I find you...crouching down in the water, not really doing much of anything. So, I slay you, and warn you to follow the call. You pull the "watching flank" card. Next round I say, EVERYONE rush B. Coincidentally, after I slayed you, you asked if you could watch flank in water, and I told you no, everyone needed to be rushing the site.

I figured we were pretty much on the same page after that, but at the end of the map, I die and hear you muttering something about watching the flank, and that the admin was "flexing his power and control". As a resident clan member, you should know better than to openly mock the admin. That gets you banned. And now we're here.

First, you made the comment that the admin was being controlling and all powerful. You didn't call me out by name. A leader has to be in control of his team. Otherwise, we would have Ts not following the call...going out and doing whatever they wanted to. My job, as leader and admin, is to step up, make calls, and deal with any players that don't follow the call. This time, it happened to be you. You...a reg and resident clan member, not following the call, and then mocking the admin when you were justly slain. If you thought the slay was unjustified, then you could have easily come to the forums and filed an abuse claim. Instead, you chose to mock the admin over the mic.

That right there is the problem, Hellfire. TTP isn't about loosely following calls. It's about getting the job done, as a team, or die trying. You weren't doing either. Thus, the slay.

And you weren't the only one. Klose got the same treatment for "watching the flank" and not following the call. Except, in his case, he kept his attitude in check, and started following the call. Now, how is it that a nobody that I have never seen before can turn it around and start following calls, and you, who knows the rules and has played here dozens of times, is the one mocking the admin and getting banned?

That's how it works. The leader makes the call, and everyone follows it. If you want to make the calls, then you need to step up more and take command. Maybe then, you can appreciate the leader's position when some guy on your team doesn't follow the call, but could've been the one up there with the rest of his team, and could've been the difference between a win and a loss.

Well, if the team is balls-to-the-wall rushing, then you need to buy a rifle or a smg. Scoped weapons aren't the ideal choice on T side of losttemple, anyway.

And that kind of thinking is what leads to the "watching the flank" mentality that so many lonewolves take on. Dying is only temporary. People need to be thinking more about the good of the team than they do about their K:D ratios. If I'm up in front, you better believe I'm the first one in the site, taking on enemy bullets...nading, flashing, shooting in the process. Whatever it takes to get the bomb down. And that's the kind of mentality the objective team needs. We don't need players that are afraid to die. If you want to lay back and snipe, then join the less objective team and do your thing with the scout trying to defend the sites.
