Thread: Ban Policy

I do not plan to ever play on your server again simply because I would never play on a server where the admins ban without warning after 3 rounds when the player is obviously doing nothing suspicious and going the exact same way every round and because the CTs were dumb enough to keep going that way as well was getting kills. The decision after the 3-day vote on me as a player based on nothing (I assume) other than that same admins testimony on the 3 rounds leading up to my ban and little else. How can you have a vote when only one admin was witness and there were no demos. I say there are no demos because if there were any I would not have been banned (if there were demos then please send them to my e-mail chase211@gmail.com because I was kicking ass and would like to use that footage) as there was only one ridiculous shot during that ocation (and it was if I do say so myself it was ridiculous, if I remember there was a guy coming down from CT spawn and I jump shotted him with the shoty, I figure he must have already be injured cuz I highly doubt even with 1 pellet hitting the head I did over 100dmg to him). I am not a great player, I would not put myself on the top 5 in my cal team and I wouldn’t put my cal team in the top 25% of cal-o teams. I urge you all to play on some more seriuse servers such as TGD (the game domain, it’s a similar community to yours in that it has multiple cal and non cal teams as members and is a community instead of a clan, the only major difference is that they are stricter in regard to abusive and inappropriate language or ESG, I admin in both of these communitys and both consider themselves to be “hard on hackers� even so we are required to post an explanation and demo for every suspected hacker (even on the server I am a co-owner on) which must be looked over by everyone and is 50% decided to be inconclusive. We have players still playing on our server that some members SWEAR are aim botting, I know that thinking is not the same as it being true however as the two players that get accused of this live in my town and I went to high school with them and have played with them both in person. This to me is proof that there is sometimes a large skillgap in counter strike (though any player who has ever played cal is aware of this as they will roll half the team they play and then the other half are immeasurably better than they are.) the point is, don’t ban based on assumption, and don’t ban bassed on me playing well 3 rounds in a row (I was on the server all of 5 min before I was banned and literally laughed when it happened as I have never been banned as anything other than a joke. I suppose I will keep playing in the Chicago based servers I’ve been using as they value fairness and understanding as is evident in the way they operate and treat others. I was excited finding your server in Texas not simply because my ping was immeasurably better but because I agreed so completely with your rules section and with the things you had to say about teamwork and fair treatment, I was also excited because unlike the main server I usually play on you don’t use a language filter which was for me refreshing because while you seemed to have sensible rules you also weren’t uptight about EVERYTHING, I see that the rules you “abide by� are really nothing more than an illusion of what you want to feel your server is and not something you are willing to practice. When you vote based on fact and ban based on consensus rather than simple whim your server will expand and more members will want to play with you. I have looked through the posts of the banned and they make it clear to me that this was not an isolated incident and that once banned you then use their reaction to being banned for unknown reasons by an unknown person when in their mind they have done nothing wrong as the new reason for the ban. People freak out when they are banned for being a hacker when they do not hack, they do not freak out of they are actually hacking because it is a familiar occurrence. Its easy when someone makes a post complaining about being banned to chalk it up to “well we don’t want that kind of person anyways� but the truth is they weren’t that kind of person until you did what you did to them. TGD (www.thegamedomain.com) has been around for almost 4 years, has 7 teams (5 of wich are cal teams aswell) 750 members, 5 owners, 3 current CSS servers and dozens of donating members (of wich I am one), it did not get to be what it is today through anything other than showing equal respect to all members and practicing that respect and fairness.

You will notice that even in my coming here to attempt to get unbanned I did nothing but show other members respect and give your admins the benefit of the doubt, I tried to make a few posts and familiarize myself with the way things work around here, I never once personally attacked the community or the admin who banned me despite the fact that I do not and have never hacked and was banned for a high score after playing for 3 rounds and a total of about 5 min simply because I was getting headshots with a shotgun. I did not blow up and demand to be unbanned (though I did expect it as I do not hack) and did not kick and screen complaining about the way the server is run. The fact that I was banned so frivolously makes me feel a little sick inside, I know that I personally will be thinking about this for the next couple of days and will continue to feel sick about it. I came to play and enjoy myself and was told I couldn’t do so because I was doing too well when even my psycho stats show that my percentages are little above normal and my kdr was nothing special. I make this post for one reason and one reason only, a sense of closure to myself, I do not need to fool myself and pretend that I am trying to help you become a better community, I know you will not take my advice and the post will probably be deleted despite the fact that I insult and attack no one. I will not wish you the best of luck as you so nicely did me as you kicked my respectful ass out the door, I wish your community nothing after the way it treated me and I hope only never to have to go through this experience again as I undoubtedly would have had I been unbanned this time as I would eventually have another good 3 rounds. Farewell, have a sheltered life filled with only those players who you choose.
