Thread: Banned

Read the rules on this, so here goes.

#1 - I think I got banned because I was doing rather well lone-wolfing it against a squad of snipers, and this pissed them off. The banning admin's position is understandable because I know what a piss-off it is when you get victimized.

#2. Was playing in Texas Teamplayers regular bf2 server. Name in-game is JordacheJeans. I was sniping out a lot of people, but the only names that stuck out were the prefixes of a particular squad/clan: eox, I think.

#3. I think I should be unbanned because I'm a good regular who loves teamplay as much as anybody, always joins squads and use voip, is fair, and has never cheated. I was in a squad when I got banned which was ~7:28 p.m. E.T. on Sunday, Sept. 21st. I wasn't making any sort of chatter, which could mean that I didn't notice text that could have been scrolling by that was warning me saying i was cheating or something like that.

Well I can guarantee that you were not banned because an admin was being victimized by you. That is about as stupid as it gets. Your banning admin will be here soon enough to address your ban.

I read the rules, and according to #1 I must be as clear as possible. I had to try to be as honest as possible, because you request me to do so, and because if I had come on here saying I don't know what I did I just got banned for no reason, nobody would pay any attention to it.

I wasn't trying to be cocky or a dick, I, like we all sometimes are, just happened to be on a roll; and I truly think that's why I got banned. It's happened to me before, both times it was on dA though, which is why I never play there anymore, and I would also presume that's why their server attendance has been consistently down for a while now.

I came on here with civility in mind, and I hope the banning admin will come forward with the same mentality and we'll get an understanding of what happened, and hopefully resolve the issue.

if I'm wrong about that, then I truly appologize in advance, but the round was 3 minutes in, I was doing extremely well and that's all that had really progressed for me into that round so...I'm just anxious to hear what the banning admin has to say. I mean, whatever I did....BANNED? that's so hardcore and I'm certain that there wasn't anything questionable that I was doing to provoke such a harsh punishment...or so it seemed to me, I was just playing as usual.

And I really don't mean to insult...like I said in my first post, it's happened before, and we're all human, when I'm in a round with like 3 kills and 20 deaths I'd for sure boot a guy for kickin my ass lol maybe

I apologize apparently the banning was a mistake because I am able to log on tonight. Sorry for the time wasted.

ok so I was just playing and right as I got re-banned i saw a message that said my banning was not a mistake. how do you know if you're not the one that b anned me?

I was your banning admin. After reading this post I hardly recognized that you were the one I banned. Reading why you think you were banned actually made me a chuckle a bit, but aside from that it had nothing to do with it.

I have to admit the direct reason I banned you was wrong on my part but the resulting reason was just.

It had nothing to do with your so called heroics on the battlefield. In fact I for one always admire great skill in this game. Since we were on the same team I can safely say you did not kill "my squad of snipers".

I was commanding, in which I repeatedly gave you direct orders in which you promptly disregarded. I however made the mistake of thinking you blocked my mic in which I quickly banned you. However I would of banned you anyway for repeatedly ignoring a commanders orders anyway. I asked you to go to Mosque. You as a Squad Leader set up sniper shop in the building behind it and made no attempt at all to proceed there.

When you replied no to my in game command order it showed up as a red X which I mistakenly took as you blocking my mic for that I apologize.

But the fact remains that not only did you ignore my VOIP commands but you also hit "no can do" on my in game commands. If your the rule reader you say you are then you, by your own admission, should know it was a bannible offence.

I will put this up for vote with the other admins and the results will be posted shorty, within a day or so. If your bann is voted to remain in effect you can try to appeal in 30 days.

If you have any further comments now is the time to list them as I will not put the vote up for another few hours, I am currently at work.
