Thread: Banned on BF2 Server

Hello,

I was banned on the BF2 server today at 2:03 pm Central right at the end of the first round of Operation Clean Sweep. The ban message was the generic "...banned for excessive teamkilling or blah, blah". I was in a flying squad with GoD skyazen and watchingyourback. We lost the small airfield and then got it back. I left their squad and formed a new squad since I was flying solo in the bomber and wanted someone to join. I have no idea why someone might have banned me unless it was one of those ooops, I got the wrong guy. Thanks.

Jlspence I am your banning admin....first you need to format your unban request correctly. Please read the sticky regarding this.

I will also tell you that the ban message should have read..."come to texasteamplayers.com and prove you were not using a aimbot". This was while flying the jet on operation clean sweep on the MEC side.

I am not sure why the message did not read this other than your ban was place at the end of the round.

Again reformat your unban request according to the sticky.

Fair enough.

#1. Why do you think you got banned? I have no idea. The only thing that made sense to me was that it was a mistake. However, given I shot you down 2-3 times at the end of the round while you were in the F-15 and I was in the SU-34, I see now you're accusing me of using an aimbot.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing? I included that. BF2 server. You obviously banned me. Other admins playing? I honest don't know who the admins are.

#3. Why should you be unbanned? Because I didn't do anything. I've played on this server for years off and on. My stats are average. I play the game to have fun and for the teamwork. I post in the forums and have donated to the server fund back when I had more time to play.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again. I will continue to obey the rules on the TTP BF2 server as I have done. I haven't broken any rules, I always play as a team player, and am in shock that I've been banned. ??? ??? ???

I'm an average pilot...in fact I don't even like flying as I know there are much better pilots than me to use the equipment. I like gunning much better than flying; however, when I saw the jet spawn I didn't want it to get stolen so I hopped in. You guys were in front of me and yes, you turned but you didn't roll and make any kind of break once you started your turn. I emptied the missles each time and kept your jet in my viewscreen. I understand how that can be frustrating but I'm no aimbotter. People kill me way too easily. :)

JlSpence you shot me down 5 times.....the first 2 times I never saw you in the rear view or the bypass view. When i am in the bomber I am in either of those views 95% of the time. I also wait until I see the missiles coming at me before I flare out and I do not flare out with just one missile coming...I wait until I see the volley coming.

The last three times you shot me down I had you fully in my rear view and I began evasive maneuvers before you toned me. Again I waited until you fired and I saw the missiles coming before flaring out and they flew right through the flares into me. Three times in a row. At the same time I was flaring I was either doing a inverted split S or an innmelman(sp?). The last time you shot me down I had also put the brakes on while doing an inverted split S. Again I watched the missiles fly through the flaring and knocking me down.

My job is to protect the server....the way your missiles acted made me suspicious. That is why you are here.

2) I most certainly did not shoot you down 5 times. It might have been 3 times but it wasn't 5. If there's a way to check that I would encourage those that can to do so.

3) I trust in the good judgment of the admins here. I know I've squadded with many of you and I've always played the game honestly and fairly and in the spirit of Texas Teamplayers.

Addition: I would just like to add that those voting consider the circumstances here. I was in the SU-34 and Max was in the F-15 each time I shot him down. I personally have found the SU to be better than the F-15 but one could argue they're pretty equal. Additionally, I would point out that while Max has more flight time than I, I do appear, at least stats wise, to be a better pilot. I could see where someone might question the situation if Max were flying a superior aircraft with better turning capabilities (like the F-18) or if he were a more experienced and better pilot than I, but that's clearly not the case. Finally, I personally have never heard of someone of using an aimbot while flying jets? Does such a thing even exist? Again thank you. Regardless of how the vote turns out, I have no ill will towards Max or the rest of TTP.
