I have spoke to adrethon from AW about this and also told UncleMark. I have been speaking with CivilWars via PM as well trying to get this cleared up. Basically, Valve says there is nothing I can do. I'm 26 years old, have a family, I play CSS in my spare time. There is absolutely no reason for me to cheat. I don't play this game competitively and just want to have fun on the TTP servers. I don't know where this ban came from, but I would like to continue to play on TTP servers. I don't even mind being heavily watched by the admins because I have nothing to hide. If anyone wishes to call and tallk to me about this live then I'm open to that even.

I have already registered another steam account along with another CDkey of CSS (which Valve told me was acceptable). I don't want to go behind anyones back to try and play on TTP servers though. I have been playing there for a while and I think people can attest to the fact that I don't cheat.

there is absolutely nothing we can do to "fix" your VAC ban. And, given VAC's track record, it is HIGHLY unlikely that you got inadvertently banned. It's not like PB, or some chump operation where they just say "oops, we messed up" and unban you. It's not some volunteer demo-viewing force making unobjective opinions on who's hacking or who's not. It's real deal junk, on your system, running in-game, and VAC finding it, logging it, and issuing the ban.

Your steamID is compromised. Your slot is revoked. Your ID will be banned on all TTP source game lists until steam says otherwise.

I don't expect a hacker to say "yup, you got me". So you can't expect us to say "ok, we believe you, you don't hack because you have a wife and a kid and a dog and a house." Plenty of people have all those things, and they are cheaters.

You might want to do a clean install of CSS... Delete the CSS folder. If you have ever even tested a hack in a non Valve server and accidently left some trace of it they can ban you from what I hear. I'm not saying you have ever tried one out or not. Frankly I don't care, but I don't believe Valve makes a mistake like this and bans mistakingly. Anyways just a thought. One last thing... not completely sure if this is true, just something I've heard a long time ago.

Obviously bigdog, you are firm in your stance. I respect your view on this and realize that you have no ability to remove my steamid off of VAC's ban list. When I saw my name on that list, I was at first shocked, but then knew that there would be admins who would feel they were confident they found one of the many cheaters. All I can say is that you have the wrong guy. However, that clearly won't change your opinion on the matter.

I have already requested this to CivilWars: I am going to reformat my computer, do a fresh install of CSS and steam, and start from scratch. I am simply requesting the ability to continue to play on TTP servers on my new installation of CSS with a different SteamID with or without a reserve slot. I'm not trying to hide anything or hide my identity. I would say I have been quite open on the matter and I am more than willing to discuss it with anyone to narrow down what may have caused me to get banned.

if you get a new ID, and want to start a new life with it...that's your perogative. there's nothing we can do to stop that. so long as your nose stays clean, you can play.
