Thread: unban request - friends steam acct

Applying for an unban request for a buddy of mine who got banned from your server, but likes it so much he wants to use my steam acct to play on it when he can.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
The short story i got was: Buddy A and Buddy B were on your server. Buddy A is a lifelong CS douche and is pretty good. My guess is he ran his mouth, like always, and gets banned, no biggie he does what he does and gets what he gets. Buddy B on the other hand gets banned as well, and as i was told he "got it by laughing with Buddy A". I'm pretty sure it's because the admin thought they were buddies and banned them together. Buddy A follows Buddy B b/c they are friends IRL. Basically, Buddy B eats a ban for Buddy A's behavior, and i'd stake my savings on the fact that Buddy B didnt do shit but do 'lol' or 'haha' - he's just not the talkative kind, you know?

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

TTP CSS server. If you have more than one, i can find out which it is. Admins playing? i don't know, i can find out.

#3. Why should you (*he) be unbanned?

to address the thoughts probably going through the moderators mind as he reads this:

Q. Why doesn't he post himself?
A. He logs into steam, plays CS, logs off. He says your server is better than others, that people are actually coordinated, etc, and so the gameplay is not like a pub. He doesn't know about how communities like this have unban requests, etc. By the time i show him, i could just as easily ask whether or not he could be unbanned, while shaving off 10min from work (mostly the latter).

Q. Why not just ban my steam id as well as his? If he deserved a ban earlier, using someone's account to log on is circumventing a ban, and should just be fixed by banning the new account, amirite? (also the reason why this post doesnt contain my steam id :D )
A. I guess if the moderator reading this has no will to unban the account based on the case im going to make in a few lines, then sure, i guess banning both would be the best option.

Ok, so why should he be unbanned?

He got banned by being friends with a douche - doesn't mean he is. he's logged in hours on your server, never had an issue, so the case could be made that he actually plays within accepted rules. I guess the real reason why he should be unbanned is the real reason why im posting this for him:
Anyone who has played on your server, got banned, and just shrugged it off to play on it again is a player you want to keep. He didn't borrow my steam ID so he could mouth off or get vengeance or get payback, he held no animosity at all. Only regret was that he didn't distance himself from Buddy A during the exchange. He liked the server's gameplay/maturity, and felt it was valuable enough to bother me to get back in. Isn't that the kind of player most servers want?


#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

Well, this is redundant considering that my buddy goes to extra ordinary efforts to play on your server, throwing it away would be dumb, wouldn't it?

Dodging a ban quietly like this, by bothering a friend, tells me that he digs whatever it is you guys do there, and that it's worth unbanning him. If you server admins feel the same way, let me know, maybe then he can stop using my account!

He needs to come and post here. We won't unban him otherwise.
