Thread: Questions about my ban

I've played on the CSS server for a few weeks now under the name billy and have recently been banned on Monday. More specifically, according to my stats the last time I played was 2006-11-13 21:11:28. I believe that the level was italy and it was a few rounds in. I was a terrorist camping the house that round and received the message that goes something along the lines of "we don't hack around here billy" and I get kicked and banned right away.
Quite frankly, I'm not sure why this happened. It's not like I have a suspicous record, according to the stats my k:d ratio is something like 1.5, nothing too great. I believe my score when I got banned was 4:2 for the map. I don't really like to socialize while playing so I rarely type and I have never used a mic on this server so it's not like I was b.s.ing.
The only thing I can think of is that I occasionally lag. I have cable internet, but it's kind of crappy and sometimes lags, but my usual ping is around 70 I believe on the server. Perhaps the admin thought I had some kind of lag hack.
I've been playing Counter-Strike for about a year and recently found this server after searching for one to play in after my old pub server, called Husker Death, became a complete ghost town for the past few months. I would appreciate a review on my case and have at least a reason why I was banned in the first place.

Billy, Your stats have nothing to do with this ban. You were banned because admins and regs were calling you out on walling.


For example, you were a ct on D2 and you were at the "A" bombsite. You were in the back corner crounching on a basket facing the stairs on "short A". You kept watching the stairs then you started shooting at the stairs. Well, there was a Terrorist at the bottom of the stairs about to run up them but your bullets were going through the stairs and hitting him. And he wasn't visible from where you were. You were the last guy on your team so there was no one to tell you were he was.

Again, on Italy. You were pulling the same kind of stuff. And that is when the admins banned you.

If you weren't walling then you were ghosting with someone. Either way, you were busted and caught cheating. Admit to your cheating so the admins can get started on your vote. Otherwise this is a waste of our time and yours.

I pride myself on never hacking in an online environment. Sorry, I simply cannot just lie and say that I was hacking/ghosting just to save face. If it means a permanent ban, so be it. My only defense is that either I heard the enemy (I like using headphones for heightened hearing), or someone on my team died in the general direction so I knew where they were via radar. Again, I'm sorry but I won't lie about hacking to save face.
