Thread: Request to be un-banned

My account name is Polecat=HoS= and I play on the BF2 texasteamplayers server. I was banned for tking a person who I felt wasn't sharing the chopper. I got annoyed, angry and then I killed him. I have no idea who the admin was that banned me. I generally am a respectable player and I bring competition to the server. I know that tking is wrong and that I was wrong for doing it and it won't happen again. I enjoy playing with the majority of the people on your server and I would like to be able to continue to do so. Thanks.

I actually read that before I posted so I guess I fail. I added some additional detail so I'll give it another go:

(#1. Why do you think you got banned?)
I believe I was banned for killing a teammate. I was kicked from the server earlier that day but I was able to log back on immediately and although I asked repeatedly why I was kicked, was never given a response so I quit asking. The kick message said I failed to obey an order. I dont use voice chat as I have young children and neither the wife nor I approve of the language so I have it turned off. If this is an issue then I'll just have to find another server. If I was given a typed order, I never saw it.

(#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?)
207.210.254.226 splitnum TexasTeamPlayers. I have no idea who banned me. There were quite a few [Iron] guys on, I believe 2manno was one of them? My account name is Polecat=HoS=. I couldn't find my id number originally but after a few google reads, I was able to figure it out, sorry: 45994908. I clicked the link on the TTL site and I didn't find anything relating to Battlefield 2.

(#3. Why should you be unbanned?)

I actually was being a jerk and I am sorry for that. I generally am a respectable player and I bring competition to the server. The better the competition, the better everyone becomes.

(#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.)
I know that team killing is wrong and that I was wrong for doing it and it won't happen again. I enjoy playing with the majority of the people on your server and I would like to be able to continue to do so.

(#5. Failure to address all of the above questions clearly will result in your post being locked and/or your unban request to go unprocessed. If you don't care, we don't care. )
I thought I had addressed every question, if I am blatantly missing something, I apologize. I do care which is why I am here asking to be un-banned. I play this game for fun, not too seriously and as I previously stated, this is my favorite server.

Your banning admin is not available at this time, so I will handle it from here.

Teamkilling on the server isn't tolerated, and may result in a kick or a ban depending on the situation and discretion of the admin handling the situation. Coming back on to the server to comment on administrative action nearly always results in a ban. We do not discuss admin actions for any reason on the server. If you have an issue or question about any administrative action, the place to address the issue is in the forums. BF2 forums typically for good comments, and the admin abuse forum for bad comments. Debate in game is disruptive to the rest of our players, and therefore is a no go.

I will say one thing about the comms issue you raised. Turning off VOIP is the equivillant of muting players, and this has a big effect on your ability to communicate. If you cannot hear what I am saying, there is a good chance that you aren't going to be following orders. I understand your situation about language, but be aware that failing to follow orders is going to land you back in here. You might be able to get along by staying close to the squad leader, spawning green, and following the orders given via commo rose, but no VOIP is generally not going to help the communication factor. The choice is yours, but be aware that landing in the banned forums generally puts you on the radar of the admins. The ball is in your court on what you are going to do about it. Perhaps a pair of headphones may help the situation.

Sorry for not responding earlier. As Mugtar pointed out, your example of Teamplay which is not just a silly word around here, is what helped lead you down the path to winding up here. First off, you TK'ed a regular player on our server Harry Pelotas, for what you claimed was not sharing the chopper. I seem to recall that there were a few other =HoS= players that you were on with that night. I think you were upset that you weren't flying with them and maybe that is who you reserve your VOIP for. TS maybe?

As was already pointed out by Mugtar, you must participate in Team Style Play here or you will be removed again. This includes not intentionally hurting your team by TK-ing or not listening to the chain of command on the battlefield. Commander first, Squad leader second and teamates third...in that order. The only way to achieve that is at least with speakers or headset although a MIC combo is the most useful. Your vote is underway, if you are allowed back on we expect that you have learned our ways from this dialect.
