Thread: Banned

I've recently started playing actively in your CS:S Top 5 server. You can view my stats here http://texasteamplayers.hlstatsx.com...&player=188222. I play well as a team-member and like the fact that most people in this server do the same. It's the reason I set it as a favorite and keep returning.

However, one of your admins decided to ban me PERMANENTLY due to the following situation:

End of a round on piranesi all my Terrorist side teammates were dead, and there were 2 CT's left shooting at me. I ducked off behind some cover and waited for a bit, peaked back out looking for them, and then ducked behind cover again. Obviously, when you are low health and the last player against 2, you need to be careful and precise with your timing. My goal here was to take the opposing players out slowly...not just run out in the open with low health....

Your admin slayed me right there with no explanation. I said "Well, that was kinda gay.." and then left the server. When I returned a few hours later the same admin, I presume, decided it was prudent to BAN me PERMANENTLY for that saying, I quote: "(ADMIN) Bry, you thought I forgot you told me admin was gay?"

I fail to see how that makes any sense. His actions in slaying me were inappropriate. I did NOT say the admin was gay, I said "well, THAT was gay" - the ACT of slaying a player who is the last standing player trying to slow play - the SMART way to win at a disadvantage.

As I do not know who your admins are I can't confront the admin, but from my console here are some of the players I saw in the server: Anytime , ?|??|? BuzzKiLL , Jay!<3, Waffle Soul, bag of cats, ?|??|? MeBad , dB4d | Heart of Malice , fear #baddie </3 , short circuit, Andubar, c0lleCtive , dB4d | Heart of Malice , REHAB.

I was in the server for a while and it wasn't until I killed aw-MeBad with a grenade that I was banned. Perhaps this is your admin?

Anyway, I'd like to be unbanned as there is no grounds for a permanent ban here. You can ask other admins and players I'm sure they will tell you I am a pretty relaxed player, I follow calls and help the team. I was simply upset that I was slain while trying to win a round, given no explanation. I hear FAR worse language on this server than "that was gay." so I don't see how that can be grounds for a permanent ban.

Seriously? You think that's why you were banned? The fact that this statement even is in this thread shows how little you think or our admins and our servers. That's not gunna help you when your vote comes up.

This is simply to say that I believed him to be the banning admin, and therfor he cannot do the actual banning while playing...being killed gave him time in order to ban.

Ok, I do follow the calls. The only instance where you might think I wasn't is when I hang back to watch the flank. Watching rear flank would be a TEAM tactic...

BUNNY HOPPING??! OK, this one is completely bogus. Not once did I "bunny hop". You need to pay attention to other players more often. I see people doing this all the time, and I hate it myself...I was definitely NOT bunny hopping.

Clearly you did not hear what I really said. I did NOT say ANYTHING about ANY admin being gay. I said, VERBATIM - "THAT WAS GAY." Period. That is what I said. "That was gay." Slaying me was gay. The act. Not you. The act. Seriously?


The only thing I can seriously admit to, is hanging back to watch flanks. I offer my apology for using the phrase "That was gay." and I in no way meant that any admin was gay. But other than that, I don't feel like I did anything wrong.

What I can say is that I will attempt to align my playing style with what is expected.

See, you can't even remember what happened when I came back in, how can any of the claims you are making about what I did during the previous session be trusted as accurate?

In fact, I entered the server, spawned, bought M4 and nades, ran to A platform, went to short A and threw a flash and a grenade which killed mebad. Shortly thereafter I was banned.

If you can't even remember that, how is it fair that what you say I did before is accurate????? What a joke.

I hope others read this and see how ridiculous this is.

Again, I do apologize for saying that, and I understand that that was a violation of your policies.

Bry, I am one of the lead CSS admins and I have just read through your case. I feel your unban request was overall professional, other than speculating that the admin who banned you was angry because you killed him. That was a bit disrespectful, but I can understand that you are frustrated and may have been speaking out of anger. I also see you apologized for using the "gay" comment, and I too feel you weren't directing towards the admin. You felt unjustly slayed, therefore you lashed out. You may not have chosen the best words, but you apologized and thats enough for me....as long as you understand this now.

I am going to go ahead and start your unban vote. I see you have an open admin abuse case, and I would like you to just drop the abuse case and let me handle this personally. I may have reason to believe that bigtymer may have been wrong in believing that you were bunnyhopping and I will look into this for you and make sure it gets addressed.
