Thread: unban request-iostran

yes, i am just posting an unban request for texas teamplayers' bf2 server. there was an ongoing accusation from the other team that i was somehow hacking, from two different players. i never take that stuff other than with a grain of salt and was kidding back with them. it was around the same time that =F= Major Food Groups got banned, although i cannot allege to know the reason he did. the message at the top of the screen said he was "hacking". i have known him for awhile now, and know he would never hack. however, i decided to state that in-game which turned out to be a dumb thing indeed. i didnt realize it would come across so disrespectfully, and didnt realize that being removed for "discussing kicks or bans in game" was even a bannable offense here. i apologize and maybe it would have been a good idea for me to read the rules for this server on your website; i can promise no questioning of admins' decisions will ever be commented on by me again, i am very sorry about that, and it was stupid. my username is iostran, and my PID is: 149736030.

actually, sorry guys, one more thing......the only admin i remember was the uaxsnipe guy (dont think i have the spelling right sorry).....i stupidly forgot to add this to the thread, but here it is. ill make sure to read all your rules here if i can ever get back on to the server. thanks.

P.S. i DO promise to never to what i did again. it wont happen.

by the way, it looks like i even forgot YET another thing: why i should be unbanned. i am always a team player on any server i play on, and actually prefer bf2 versus other fps's because of the squad/commander features. i feel i have always respected the rules here, and believe i should be given a second chance. i mainly just play here, versus nunya which i used to play on, mainly because ff is on here, which requires more skill by default. sorry for three postings in one thread, but i wanted to be complete with it, even though i forgot to add everything to the first message.

You are correct on the reason for your ban.

We have a policy here that admin decisions are never discussed or questioned while in-game because they inevitably distract and disrupt the game in progress. The forums are the place to discuss such matters, where they can be given the proper amount of attention. You were banned in order to curtail the already-growing disruption by removing the instigators. I know that you had no malicious intent in your questions, but the server can very quickly descend into chaos if swift action is not taken. Roo is a friend of mine and is already being taken care of in a separate thread.

Do you have anything further to add before I put this to a vote of the BF2 admins?
