Banned and very distraught about it
#1:
This is a little embarrassing because I think I got banned for being a bit of a tool via chat. Anyway, I was playing as usual -- trying to follow orders and usually getting killed in the process -- when I noticed that my score was 4-20. I pointed it out and stated in jest that "I SMOKE WEED" in chat just seconds before I was banned, so I assume that was what got me booted. (I realized after the fact that the admin's irritation with this may have been compounded by the fact that I said "ismokedrugs" earlier in the game as an excuse for my sub-par abilities. It seems that I THINK I'm funnier than I actually am.) Since I didn't see/hear any kind of warning before I was banned, I'm not entirely sure if that was it, but I can't think of anything else I did that would have been ban-worthy.

The server I was on was 173.234.33.162:27015. I don't know who banned me, or who on the server was an admin. Here is a screen shot of the server info from just a few minutes after I was banned. I'm terrible with names, but I think most of the people in this list were playing at the time.

In looking back through my chats from this server I noticed that I have a bad habit of typing out inane ramblings that are of little or no consequence to the actual game. This banning experience has alerted me to the fact that, well, that's just lame and possibly annoying to other players who are trying to take things a little more seriously. In this particular case, I was, in a sense, touting the use of illicit drugs (purely as a joke, of course), which may have been offensive to others and I apologize for that.
Now, the main reason that I'm going to the trouble of appealing this ban is that these TPG servers are consistently my favorites to play on. The team play ethic that I find here is exactly what I want in a CS:S server. (I'm really not interested in servers full of rogue AWPers that are totally unconcerned with the actual objective of any given map.) I only recently purchased CS:S again after a nearly 5 year hiatus, and I realize that at this point my skill level is far below what I (or my teammates, for that matter) would prefer, but I feel that these servers are the best places for me to "see how it's done right" and to hone my own skill as a player.
That being said, I humbly request to be un-banned, and I promise, from the bottom of my heart, to cut the ridiculous chatter and try to keep my communications both non-offensive and relevant to the game.

I totally understand.
Thank you for your consideration.

Sorry for the late response DeadMeat, I might have over looked your thread. For that, my apologies. But thank you for posting in the correct format. You are correct on why you were banned. Drug related comments are bannable and not tolerated. You were banned for a week, which means you should be able to connect tomorrow on Tuesday the 11th.
It's okay to joke, just make sure it's one that doesn't interfere with the rules or may cause a distraction. See you in the servers.Cowards never start. The weak never finish.
