Thread: Banned for Being Stupid?

Apparently. Because i don't know what else i did.

1. All i remember was i had the bomb and someone said "go banana" so i thought "well he must mean B because banana certainly doesn't start with an A". Sorry i don't pay attention to unimportant details. I was killed and this one guy i think is name was either Joff or Jeff (something short and starting with a J) he shat a brick and was like "durr kick zzde0 he sucks blah blah blah not up to my standards" I told him to STFU and explained why i went A instead of B. Then... I WAS BANNED DUN DUN DUN. Also i was late getting out of spawn a couple of rounds because i was trying to talk to Mr. McfuckingAsshat (Joff/Jeff whatever). A few other people weren't happy about my lateness.

2. I was playing on TeamPlayerGaming.com CS:S No AWP/Auto. I have no idea who banned me or which admins were on. This happened like 4hrs ago. Steam id: STEAM_0:1:9864275

3. Because i feel being uninformed is no reason to be banned in the first place.

4. I will follow all server rules unless "No being stupid" or "Must not suck" is a server rule and in that case you can leave me on your banned list.


Unrelated: I had a tough time registering. Human Vitrifaction [1] has no description on what to do. It just says "Banana" (which is kinda ironic, right?) no where on the page did it say you had to type in TPG. I had to go to view page source and search through all the HTML code to find the this description.

These two statements make it clear that you haven't taken the time to read our rules.
Tell you what....While we wait for the admin that banned you, how about you take the time to read the rules you have promised to follow, should you be unbanned.

ZzDe0, welcome to the TPG forums. It is unfortunate that your first visit has to be under these circumstances, but at the time, it was necessary to get you off of our servers. As your banning admin, I'll elaborate as to why.

Banned for "being stupid?" Well, that is an understatement. Your initial thoughts, as seen in your thread title leads me to believe that you know you are not so innocent here. Thank you for posting your request in the correct format, but you are off base on quite a few things.

When I first joined, I observed another admin was making the calls (any pre-designated person can make calls, not just admins-FYI). The call was to go 'Banana', slang for the 'A' bomb site. Everybody managed to make it towards 'A' except for a couple players, yourself and another. An admin warning was then sent out for all of the T team to Follow the Call. It's understandable that you may not have been familiar with the terminology, I get that. What is not understandable, is if you do not know where you are supposed to go, why not just ask? Why not use your radar and stick with the team? Why not listen to all of your team questioning why you were going in the wrong direction(away from EVERYONE else)?

If you think that the call is an 'unimportant detail', then we can just stop this unban request right here. The call and actually following the call is the most important thing a player at TPG should be concerned with. Yes, players were getting frustrated with you not following the call. Instead of trying to understand your faults, you start up with instant attitude and defensiveness. At this point you were given another chance to prove that you could be a teamplayer. Again, the call was to go straight A. After everyone died trying to take the site, you were the last one alive and nowhere near A. As you sat back and tried to garbage collect, I decided that you needed to be slayed to get your attention and a message went out to you personally to get with the program.

After all of this, this is still NOT the reason why you were banned. If definitely did not help and was leading towards a ban, but you were banned for a different reason. Immediately after you were slayed you said, "then gtfo" & "dumbass." It is very clear that this was directed towards the admin and admin disrespect is not taken lightly here.

I am what I consider one of the more lenient admins around here. We dont have to give warnings and we don't have to waste our time in-server with people who just aren't getting it. I tend to try to work with the problem players and convert them into teamplayers, as we all do, but sometimes I give people the benefit of the doubt. You took the hard road and here we are.


Before this will go further, there are a few things you will need to address:

1) Do you understand why you were banned?
2) Do you think following the call is still unimportant?
3) Do you believe arguing with people in-game and staying in spawn to argue is a wise choice?
4) Do you think your attitude, saying things like, "then I was banned DUN DUN DUN", "call it A and not banana HURR", or "I will follow all server rules unless 'No being stupid' or 'Must not suck' is a server rule" is going to help your case?
5) Do you think talking back to an admin is a good idea now?
6) If allowed back on the server, could you drop the bullshit and learn to be a teamplayer?

I will wait for you to respond. Take your time. All of the CS:S admins will vote on this case, so choose your words wisely.

Well It doesn't matter where the rest of the team is going when someone specifically tells the bomb go to "banana", and like i said the only logical conclusion i could come to at the time was that "banana" must stand for B. I wasn't about to question something that seemed so obvious. It wasn't until someone stopped crying "banana" and actually said "A" i was then shot. Also i recall there being more than just one other guy with me.

No, no, that's not what i meant when i said "unimportant details". That was to justify why i didn't know A was called "banana".

Yeah you're right i did say "then gtfo" and "dumbass". But I don't think it was just because an admin slayed me, those two remarks wouldn't make much sense by themselves. So someone must of had said something first.

You miss understood what i meant.

No, but i do believe i was typing mostly when i was dead. But sense I'm not a god damn wizard i didn't know if the round was going to last another minute or another five seconds. And i wasn't trying to type an entire book, just enough to defend myself.

I know better than to talk smack to an admin, that won't fly on any server. But i didn't know who i was talking to at the time.

Normally I am a team player, but normally i don't make mistakes like this one. Doesn't help that people are huge douche bags about it either.

Bullshit ban. It wasn't even a temp. ban or a kick just to get me out of there, it was a perma. ban because of one unique incident. Maybe if it was on a few separate, completely unrelated incidents but all your other reasons are just a by-product of the first.

"Ruin the game for everyone else". Get real. Losing is a team effort and that's the only thing that "ruined the game".

And if your admins remain anonymous how is one suppose to know their status of authority?
