Thread: Banned from the TF2 Server upon Giving Up

Apparently it was only a temporary ban and neither the server message telling me I was banned nor anyone I played with let me know that. Thanks guys!!! Only proving my point about the communication bit! :grin:

However, I'll go ahead and leave this here in case it is ever an issue.

I was first kicked for this:
Frying Pan Zheta (17 kills with frying pan)

In which case I named myself D E M O P A N and ran around like like a drunken scot waving my carnivorous frying pan about willy-nilly. I was also speaking like a Pokémon. I did this because I didn't want to stop playing despite my lament over playing a second KOTH map in a row. So I thought it would be fun. And it was!

But eventually it rubbed people the wrong way. :dizzy: I was warned to start using real weapons once and then kicked a bit later. In my defense, I actually scored two clutch wins for my team in my berserker fury to charge the point and klonk things. I was kicked at the end of a later round in which my team lost before I could reconnect and do it again.

However, I know when enough is enough and at the beginning of the next map I put on my serious face.

After a while though it was painfully obvious how many great players were on the opposite team and how completely clobbered my team was going to continue to be unless something changed. I tried to initiate a votescramble. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to turn things around and again I didn't want to leave. I also didn't want to go crazy continuing to fight a overwhelmingly futile losing battle.

So I equipped the Fists of Steel and ate a bunch of Dalokohs Bars and tried to block the cart 3-4 times.

After that wasn't working and team rofflestomp was still truckin' along I equipped my scout with a trusty Bonk! and rushed at the enemy spawn a few times. About the fifth time in right after dying I received my ban.

Granted, I was acting like an idiot. I was just trying to wait it out until the status quo changed. But I probably should have just logged off. I normally don't play that long because it does drive me crazy after a while. I had been having a good time and I wanted to keep playing even though apparently I had run out of steam.

However, the rest of my long night:

And yes, I like playing here so next time I'll just have to log off earlier like I usually do so I don't get burnt out. I'm not always so great at self-monitoring. I'm bipolar and often I don't even know when I'm manic or depressed or behaving poorly.

I would like not to be permanently banned for one night of fooling around. Also, whoever banned me knows I'm around all the time and would be better off talking to me directly first! I would think I could be approached by whomever(pretty much the entire enemy team consisted of steam friends!) and talk first before having to go through this process.

But no matter, here I am! I can't promise never to goof off again because I am a big goof, but I do promise that if you come and talk to me I am more than willing to take a step back. In which case I can either log off or try something different.

I had been playing too long and was dismayed by the lack of effort put forth to balance the teams, and the reveling taking place on the other side. I felt as if there was nothing I could do and no-one on my team I could empathize with. I hope I didn't ruin the experience for my team.

I promise I am not out to cause problems, and if I am causing problems then I am super easy to talk to about it.

I already told her this but it was only a temp ban, it said so when the admin kicked her, she should be ok to join. If not, up to the admins to handle this.
