I've been banned from the CS:S server for about 5 years now I think.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
I still have the same 4 digit steam ID as when you banned me that has gotten constant use. If I was truly hacking, I would have surely been VAC banned by now.
#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
I have never hacked and I won't hack in the future.

Hello, I was banned a long time ago when the server was still Texas Team Players. I was suspected of hacking and was subsequently banned. I didn't think much of it and went on to play on a different server. I play quite often and every once in a blue moon I will try to join this server and it will say I am banned, so I move on. Today I am requesting to be unbanned because I saw that a friend of mine was playing on your server and I wanted to join.

If you were banned for suspision of hacking then there should have been a discussion in the admin forums about you. Having trouble finding it. Is "peterwilc" the name you would have been under? Perhaps something else we can go on?

So is it impossible for me to get unbanned without any prior knowledge of what happened? Even if it was around 2005 or 2006? That long ago? Its very possible that the admin who banned me either doesn't play counter-strike source anymore or isn't even a part of the community anymore.

I'm pretty sure the name I had was either "Rigid" or "Rigid Body", but it was so long ago... might have been more than 5 years ago... it was before I started playing in CAL and that was in 2005.

According to our ban record, you were banned while using the name 'i work for nasa', but records indicate (not our records, but steam records) that you used both 'i work for nasa' and 'Rigid Body'. We are on a system that is newer than when you were banned, and so your ban was imported.. which unfortunately means that the original banning admin isn't listed as adding the ban, instead the one who imported the ban is (who is not your banning admin). So it is taking a bit more time to locate them. If we are unable to locate them, another admin will handle this, but the short answer is: Yes, you will be given the same chance for an unban vote that anyone else would be.

You've been level headed with us thus far, please give us a little more of your patience in this.

Thanks for the heads up. My old CAL clanmates have been playing on your server recently and so I have been eager to join them. "i work for nasa" is a newish name and I wouldn't have been using it back when I was banned.

the reason we want to find the info is...we have to have some reason as to why we should unban you (and why you were banned). Otherwise, this is simply "it's been a long time, please forgive me" which.....isn't how we do things. Some people do the time that fits the crime...but some crimes we never forgive.

so.....what did you do?

All you have is my word. I am not the type of person who talks shit or even talks at all unless it is about strategy. From what I can remember, I was doing really well and then I was banned without explanation. This wasn't new to me (back in the day); I used to get banned under the suspicion of hacking quite a bit back when I had my youthful reflexes and the time to play all day. I hope that my attitude displayed here in my plea is enough for you to believe me when I say that I was not banned because of my words. The only reason I used the "length of time" in my argument is because I think that it says a lot for a person who has been accused of hacking to have retained the same low digit steam account for 5+ years without getting VAC banned. I know its not a fullproof argument. I do have evidence which proves my league experience as well.
