banned : donfede692 : not sure why "teamkill" ? (i was cmdr)

I must confess, I'm a bit confused why I'm even here. I hopped on for a quick game after dinner/music-practice: map was Dragon Valley, time 23:40 EDT, I was playing PLA as commander (after another commander disappeared and we were beginning to lose). The next thing I know, I'm "banned for excessive teamkilling or other admin decission"?!?

I am confused. I guess no team playing for me tonight...

Donfede, Thank you for posting correctly the first time around. I was your banning admin. You were banned for an intentional team kill. I watched you TK another team member. Would you care to share your explanation?

Thanks for the prompt response iCeWhoshotme.

There must be some confusion. When I was kicked, I was the Chinese commander running things/hiding-out around the airfield. I was not in a squad at the time, I was taking over the previous commander who disappeared.

Previously, for a few minutes I was in a squad, but I don't recall any TK. If there was one, it must have been by accident in the heat of the battle. Are you sure you have the correct player? Is there any record of my TK in the round (stats/screenshot)? If one reviews my stats, they will see I have regularly low TKs (256 TK / 6557 kills). I have been a regular and contributing member of this community for the better part of my bf2 experience (granted I'm a n00b, having started Dec 2010, finding this place Feb 2011).

Let me know if anything else is required of me.

I've been in the brig/banned from TPG BF2 land all week now (since Monday evening 2011-07-18; last admin post on Tuesday 2011-07-19; today is Friday 2011-07-22 and the weekend is upon us), for a crime I've not received details on.

When may I be let out.

Don......Ice (the admin who banned you) personally witnessed you tk a fellow team mate. This is so far out of character for you, that many of the admins were having problems believing you did it (myself included). I think what must have happened is that either you or Ice were glitched.....where a team mate shows up as an enemy (with the red tags and all) and vice versa. I absolutely trust that Ice saw what he says he saw (say that 10 times fast), but I also believe that you wouldn't knowingly or intentionally tk a fellow player....I've spent enough time on the server with you to know you are exactly the kind of guy we want around here.

That being said, the admins have unanimously voted in your favor. You are free to return to the server.

And thank you very much for your patience, and for staying cool while we tried to get to the bottom of this. If you have ANY problems connecting to the server, please send me a pm.

Don, your vote is underway and this is the third day. Admins also have a real life so it usually takes about 3 days. Your banning admin will let you know as soon as the vote is done. Sorry Dex we post at the same time.
