REALLY have i been gone that long

So those of you who know me..How are you all (long time)..
I was extremely busy .. work, my kids.. oh yea and living my wife of 20yrs..
My teen ager son set up my comp at my new place.. so i dont know what or how..(any or the old guys on this server can remember .. iam no comp wizzz haha my ex was..haah
So playing last night and got banned..(really) in the old days you used to have to say something to the guy..Some one ask why is your ping so low..I said i got no idea (as i was on a neg score..) i said (typed havent set up mic yet)..
Just kinda suprised how things have changed.. we used to tell some one what they were doing..and why we wanted to ban them.. or tell them to change it..iam pretty sure my son changed because he was playing on servers from urope..
So this didnt help or let me cheat...never have..dont know how>>
Just kinda suprised how who ever was or did ban me..didnt say a word just asked why and then banned me...thot it rude.. i used to play on and was a ADMIN on this server and played on this server because of the guys..And how i thot it was a cool group and there was old guys with kids on it.haha

hey ICU sorry to hear about what happened to you in the server. I havent been playing on the dod server like i used too, And really dont know what admin pulled the plug on you or their true reason, but from what you have described in your situation low pinging the server should be the least of peoples worries. At least when i was admin we worried more about spammers mic/text and actual cheats, People using hacks to inhance their player position.

I remember you as im sure you remember me, and I know your past history with TPG. Never a problem in or outside the admin realms, nor in game. So would somone move this to the proper location in hopes he can get this resolved.

not to mention i got banned for no reason,lowering your pinng has never been a advantage and if the admin who banned me doesnt know this he or she shouldnt be a amin..kinda a joke ,,years ago we would be questioning the admin.//which is the write thing to do.. cus the dont know everything..

Ok, let's address a few things.

First, I'm your banning admin.

You're a former admin....you know where banned posts go. They don't go in the DoD:S public forums. So, I moved it for you.

You know (or should know) how banned posts are to be formatted. I politely asked you to read the sticky, which you still haven't done.

Then, (this is what really shocked me)...you post this in the DoD:S admin sign up topic:

That is a business topic, and there was no need to post that.

Furthermore, you were indeed banned for a reason, and admins do not have to issue a warning before a ban or a kick.

Now, as to the reason why you were banned. You were banned for ping masking.

You're in Canada, and there is NO way that you legitimately have a ping of 1 on a Texas server. What you're doing is exploiting your rates...a no-no.

We have at least two other regulars who are also from Canada who have normal pings for their location.

Now, you said that your teenage son is the one who changed your ping, when I asked you why your ping was so low.

Again, you may not have known this was punishable, but you should have...there is a sticky about rates in the DoD:S admin forums, which I'm sure you're aware of.

In the end, I was really hoping you'd handle this with a bit more maturity. I would've recommended that you be unbanned had you handled this better and agreeing to fix your rates. However, if you don't care, we don't care...I'm done being polite.

Shocked you, this whole thing has shocked me..
I said on screen, that my son changed my ping and didnt know how to change it back, but instead of being MATURE as you would say(i have underwair older than you) you just banned me (you didnt even say change it back, because any one who remembers ,it was my Xwife who did all the computer things..and then my teen age son..i just played since game came out and enjoyed it..
So as far as being mature about it, i would have said change it, and since i said i didnt know how..i would explained..not act all powerfull, its been a real great welcome back...
I did say alot of out of line things but if disrespect is given i sure the fuk well hand it back..
Not to mention, we did always have to warn,first b4 you kicked some one , its the polite thing and the mature thing to do.. and we would kick first then ban..but i guess you have been playing long enough to not have to justify your actions..well thats why people dont come back..or stop playing on server..which cuts down on your compition i guess..
Iam not trying to get in a pissing match,, i really have no time iam tring to make more money because i have to buy another house to live in,, and giving the x 2000 a month makes it a little tough....
so you iam prob not in best of moods lately and i apologize for that , i could get a comp geek over to my rental and get him to fix it ..or give me hacks that vac cant detect,, you would think one of the over priced nerds would know how to haha..

ICU, if you think Guyver went over the line, we have an admin abuse forum. Make a case. If you want to be unbanned, do it right, plead your case, and we'll vote. You know how this works, you don't have to jump through hoops.. you just have to do it right and make your case. Right now, however, you're headed down a different road.

I'll leave this open a bit longer. If you want the ban removed, do it right, and we'll go from there.. or we can close the matter. Ball is in your court.
