Thread: Banned for nothing.

Actually come to think of it I'm not sure if this is a perm ban, but it was a ban none the less.

Now I've been playing on you guy's servers since back when you were Texas Team Players. However that doesn't mean I deserve any special treatment.

A few days ago I decided to play some Counter-Strike: Source. I reinstalled the game for the first time in ages and loaded it up. Played in a couple random servers and then randomly came across the TeamPlayerGaming.com server. I joined and just as expected there are the regular rules, play to win.

I was having a good time even though I might not be the best player there, then the game decided to hand me the bomb. Someone was giving directions so I figured I'd see if the had a plan and all he said was "lets go to B." I make my way there staying behind the main group as not to get shot. Everyone gets taken out in a hallway so I have no choice but to try and go myself, and get killed.

Next round:
I get yelled at by a admin for not following directions. Don't put too much offer into arguing as it doesn't seem that big of a deal. I mean since when is there a team leader in Counter-Strike anyway?

Next round:
This person who is the 'leader' says "Guy you suck so just go the other way." I proceed to do just that, take out 1 guy and then get killed. Then...

"You have been banned, reason: Follow directions next time." (or something similar to that) pops up on my screen.

I really don't understand what I did wrong, if someone could just clear that up for me?

Oh and it was on that map with the trains.

Why hello there, apologies for this misunderstanding.

I still do not understand why I was banned as I was doing what the person calling the shots told me to do, as I explained in my original post.

I wish I had recorded it, I find it quite funny. This crap happens to me way too often. Doing what I was told to and getting punished for it.

Like you've seen above, and hopefully in our servers and in these forums....there is always a team leader. That leader isn't an admin, or a clan leader, or someone special....it's the person who gets on the mic, and calls the shot.

YOU could be the team leader, or at least get your input in on what needs to happen in the round. If you don't, then you submit to whoever is calling the shot. Be the leader, or follow the leader, or get banned.

This is teamplayergaming. This is how we play. I think you're halfway there in understanding the situation....but the whole "since when is there a leader in ___insert game name here____" is what makes us sad on the inside. There always should be leader in a team based, squad based, objective based, voice capable, chat capable, team capable game. It's a tragedy, though reality, that most servers don't play the game this way.

Hello- I was the one making the calls that map on your team and I was also the one who slayed you several times before you were banned by Ira per my request. You were told countless times verbally by your team that you were on a team play server and you needed to follow the calls. I warned you once verbally and slayed you twice with a warning also. Plus your team was trying to help you understand the server but you never communicated back anything thus them then turning on you with anger when you took the bomb to the wrong site at one point. I do not believe that you thought you were following a call because everyone was even yelling at you to correct your route of travel and you still failed to do so. Any of what I just said ring a bell?

Do you have any proof to back up these absurd claims?

I am an admin for a reason...and its not because I lie about slaying and banning people.
