Thread: TTP Tournaments

Oh it will be threaded on the main TF2 forum. I just need some help finding a god damn map for this thing. Anyone up for helping out? I need a smaller, cp map that can handle 6 people without feeling too big or too small.

I think the only way a draft system of 6v6 competition will work is if we all agree ahead of time that matches MUST be played on the preset day and time throughout the season, like Monday at 8:30 cst.

So if your schedule doesn't allow you to block the chosen day and time for the entire season, then you can't sign up.

Probably draft each team 7 players and one rotates sitting out, so that there is always an extra in case someone can't make it to one of the specific days, but if you consistently can't play on the agreed day/time, unfortunately you won't be able to participate.

Its harsh and would exclude some people, but scheduling is a major pain for these things and if we rely on people to assemble their teammates and try to schedule amongst each other with PM's etc, I doubt it would work. There will always be schedule conflicts no matter what system we use, so we should use the most straightforward and simplist to implement.

We'd have to count up the match server + people willing to share private servers and figure out the max teams/drafted players that could sign up.

For example if we had the misfits server + match server, that would be 2 matches possible on the playday, so 4 teams total could be drafted. Add another server from someone and its 6, etc. etc.

Personally I think a 3v3 is a good start to eventually moving into a 6v6 setup.

Ok, Kyle700 is working on map ideas. We need people helping find a map. Once we have a map the configs and the rest is CAKE.

A group of 6 TTP TF2 regs did some play testing of the 3v3 arena and this is going to rock the house.
