Thread: OgX vs. wNz?! (Week 6, round 2)

Nail biter between OgX and wNz?!

Tied 15-15 at the end of 30.

Overtime tied 3-3

2nd Overtime wNz?! won 4-1. OgX got really unlucky in the final overtime round, one of their guys got kicked by the server going into the final round. Good games to OgX.

Okay OgX lost in double over time but I don't think it was right, it was the very last round and had my team won that round we would have went to triple over time, at the start of the round I was automatically kicked from the server and given the error " Kicked by Console : [zBlock] Increasing cl_interp whilst playing is forbidden". WnZ then immediately rushed us once I was kicked. Before we started the match, my teammates and I were in the server discussing strategies and D23 was also kicked and given the same error. He said that he hadn't changed anything and I also made no changes when I got the error and was kicked. This was one hell of a match and it sucks that it was decided by something I had no control over. I've never had any problems like this on the tpg servers or my past matches. Can someone please check into this, I don't mind losing a great match especially one as fun as this one but not like this, not when I did nothing wrong and was kicked for no reason.

Also the final score for the second over time was 4-2, you guys were up 3-2 going into the final round when I was kicked. Had OgX won that round we would have went to a 3rd overtime.

I don't know this is a very difficult situation, I kinda feel that I was cheated by the server. We played a total of 26 rounds before the server decided to kick me on the final and most critical round lol what are the odds of that? But if we were to replay the final round and we win, and then win the 3rd overtime then wNz will probably feel cheated as well. It wasn't their fault that the server kicked me and who knows how the round would have played it out. Its almost impossible to replay the round because we wouldn't have the same amount of money and the strategies would probably change. So I'm not sure what the best thing to do is but I know it was a horrible ending to one of the most closest and exiting matches of the tournament. Someone should really check into why the server is kicking people so that it doesn't happen in the future. As I stated before D23 was also kicked for no reason prior to the match so its not an isolated incident. It is very possible that it will happen to other players in future matches.

One hell of a game guys, I don't think its possible to replay the final round but it was a good game either way. Good luck to you guys in the rest of the tournament. Those of you that missed it should really watch the demo, it was one of the best matches I have ever watched or been apart of. A horrible ending to a truly epic match.

I got kicked for the same exact reason and was out for 3-4 rounds.
I feel your pain, and I feel like I was kicked out in the most intense moments of the match.

Really in what match? This only further proves the fact that this is not an isolated incident and something should be done because it is obviously affecting the out comes of the matches.

Also you don't have to feel sorry for me. Although I am very disappointed at the way the match ended, it is just a game and the tournament is just for fun. However it really sucks that such a great match had to end this way. I'm sure wNz is not very happy the way it ended either, I think they would have rather have won that match by beating us, not by a server glitch which kicked one of our players in the final round. One thing I can say for sure is that wNz is a great team and we were evenly matched. Almost went 3 overtimes lol

Oh, I forgot that you didn't play in the match against us.
Well, in the match that OgX played against us right before your match with wNz I was dc'd on the first half for no reason.
My team was up 7-4 and then lost the next 4 rounds.
We had your team on eco and were doing quite well, and I feel that if I was still in the game the match would have turned out a lot differently.
But, as you said, this was just a for fun tourney, and accidents do happen.

Yea sorry I didn't realize, I didn't know that happened at all. I was spectating the match but I was away from my computer nearly the entire time. I really had no idea that you got kicked. Even though the match is just for fun, it sucks because its affecting the out comes of the matches. Perhaps if you didn't get kicked then your team would have beaten OgX, we will never know? And we will never know who would have one that last round if I hadn't got kicked, the point is it should be fixed because even though its just for fun, both teams want to win and its unfair that one team loses because of a glitch in the server.

Its unfortunate to the fullest and I couldn't agree more. I am terribly sorry. The server logs are being looked in to find a resolution for this. If I could make all 3 teams have makeup matches tomorrow I would. But I would need all 3 teams to accept and have it scheduled by tomorrow. If we can do this, awesome! If not, then I am very, very sorry.

Is OgX and db4d availible for rematch tomorrow same time?

And is wnz also availible for rematch sametime?

Let me know what you all come up with. If we can't resolve anything, then the scores stand, I am sorry. Best of luck to all.

I think it would be very difficult to get everyone to rematch and also I really would feel bad if we rematched and my team won lol After all the tournament was intended to be just for fun and nobody had to put anything up to play in it. I think the best thing to do is continue with the tournament but try to prevent it from happening in the future. Would you agree Sidroc?

Well put mafioso, and I admire your sportsmanship. For a preventative measures, everyone please use the other server for future matches until this issue is resolved.
